Colour Me Wednesday, The Tuts and Spoonboy
11 February 2015 - Upstairs at The Garage, Highbury Corner
What do you do if you have no record label or management team?
The Tuts' bassist Harriet and friends came up with this self promoted music showcase. Hat did have a slight advantage as she plays bass with the Tuts and guitar for Colour Me Wednesday.
I have seen the Tuts a few times at Kate Nash gigs, and heard Colour Me Wednesday's album and liked it alot, so gave it a go.
A very enjoyable evening with my favourite punkettes giving a lot with shedloads of attitude. I truly don't understand why they still have not been signed.
Spoonboy was new to me, but was pretty good for a guy from Washington DC with guitar, an attitude and an acceptable voice, slightly reminiscent (to my ear, at least) of Bob Dylan and the vocalist from Wreckless Eric ("Whole Wide World").
