Edenbridge and Oxted Show, 28 August 2017
My good friend's brother offered us some Vice President Guest passes to the show, including access to the VIP seating areas and it was a cracker.
We had been to the South of England Show earlier in the year, and I was very surprised that even though this one sounds more localised, it offers more variety of exhibitors displays and demonstrations.
My friend's daughter loved the animal displays, particularly involving horses and dogs as well as the BMX stunt show. The Terrier racing was a new one on me, but was terrific and great entertainment, as was the Pony Grand National.
The parade of old and new farm vehicles is always a favourite of mine.
A Caramel Latte started off proceedings, a few snacks (pork scratchings) followed, and my friend had prepared a very good salad picnic for lunch. The catering was only marred by there being no Rhubarb Cider available - the weather was so hot that all of the show special had been consumed by the time I got to the bar.
It was a really brilliant day out and I would love to go again.
Thanks to Stuart Cox for the Guest Pass.
