London Lumiere and a stroll around The Mall
16 Jan 2016. I was my way back to Victoria on my beloved 24 bus after visiting my Mum and going to see "A Christmas Carol" with Jim Broadbent as Scrooge and noticed that Westminster Abbey was illuminated. I checked it out and was told that the display was part of an event called "London Lumiere" - several sites were being illuminated.
I looked at the map and strolled to some of the nearer sites around The Mall and Piccadilly, but they were still "dark" as it was about an hour before the scheduled start time.
I was very pleased to see that even though I was too early for the main event, London could still put up a show.
You really have got to love this city when she dresses up!
