Scotney Castle and Hastings, 20 February 2019
With a little used (as yet) National Trust membership and a spare day during the half term school holiday, we looked at the map and came up with Scotney Castle near Tunbridge Wells.
The photos looked promising, but neither of us had heard of it and so off we set.
A member of the Hussey family had lived in the "new" house until 2006, while the "old" house had been let to go and become a folly in the grounds.
The site is fairly compact, but the place is lovely.
We will be back.
After a picnic lunch, we headed south to Hastings for a potter on the Seafront.
These photos are from my trusty Canon Powershot SX60HS compact.
