60 up. Peter Rabbit, Wakehurst Place.
Sunday 15 April 2018
Crikey, apparently I have reached the 60 year milestone.
Me, a "Concession" - just how is that possible ?
We had been away the previous week on the Isle of Wight, so opted for a low key day out at Wakehurst Place near Ardingly in Sussex. There was some Peter Rabbit action going on for the Young People, and I was interested to see what it was like at the Kew affiliated site which I had not been to for decades.
Wakehurst did not disappoint and is a very beautiful place with a variety of areas which were loosely globally themed.
Jenny produced a lovely picnic and Sarah, Matt and Molly came along together with Layla and Wendy, Jenny's Mum.
I was a little overwhelmed on the day, with cake and presents coming thick and fast. I felt pretty spoilt to say the least and I have to thank them all for making the day very special.
We had a great day and I felt blessed.
These photos are from my trusty Canon Powershot SX60HS compact with a few from Sarah's iPhone.
