Cadbury World and Birmingham weekend, 8-10 June
Cadbury World has been a popular tourist destination since it opened in (I think) 1991.
It has been high on Jenny's list all the time I have known her, so we went up and made a weekend of it.
Cadbury is on the Bourneville site in Birmingham where it has been since 1879 and forms the centre of a model working community built for it's workers by the Cadbury Company. A potted history can be seen on the <Bourneville Residents Association site>.
They tell the Cadbury story, how their chocolates are made and give the public some freebies.
It is a good visit and worthy of it's popularity.
The following day was very warm, so we had a stroll in the Lickey Hills Country Park.
This was another brilliant weekend.
