This is NOT an analysis of a song, merely personal observations about a song that I love. Enjoy. "Jealous Guy" by John Lennon I first heard this shortly after John Lennon's death in 1980 by Roxy Music, and Bryan Ferry was (as often the case) mesmorising. John Lennon's version was released as a single 4 years later. The original was released on John's 1971 LP Imagine. A song of reflection and apology. "I was dreaming of the past And my heart was beating fast I began to lose control" "I was feeling insecure You might not love me anymore I was shivering inside" "I didn't mean to hurt you I'm sorry that I made you cry Oh my I didn't want to hurt you I'm just a jealous guy" "Jealous Guy"
