After seething about events at the office for most of the weekend (see my last blog), I got back to work on Monday to find that my supervisor's return for a couple of days was cancelled due to sickness. My manager was also at the other office covering holiday, so I braced myself for another "stinker". Quite early on however I happened upon the main client team leader and could not resist telling her of my thoughts about how "The Test" last week had plain offended me and wasted a lot of my time, which I could barely afford. To my surprise, she listened and took on board what I said. This off-loading eased my mood and things perked up. Monday brought more kit movement (this time for a double wedding pro photography event). It will be back tomorrow, and it will need sorting and stashing once more. Two more days and then hopefully a rest at the weekend - on Sunday at least. Had a nice garden barbecue on Sunday with both James (with Tara) and Chris in attendance, which doesn't happen so often these days. I try to have at least one barbie a year, and it always goes down well. Among my favourite things however is the jug of Pimm's which invariably I enjoy from Pimm's o'clock until early evening. Least said about the Arsenal's performance in the first game of the new season, the better. The team fell short in all departments, and sadly new goalkeeper Petr Cech had an absolute mare. The only way is up, as they say. The beauty of football is the eternal hope for the next game. The Gunners are away at Crystal Palace this weekend - tricky ! I got a postcard today from the Surrey WA-rriors who formed one of the local Scout contingents who have been in Japan at the World Scouting Jamboree - you can click the thumbnail to enlarge. I sent a tweet: "Received this today. My pleasure to help. Glad and proud to say I was a tiny part of the adventure. #WSJ2015" That's about all.
