Early birthday treat - School of Rock, 28 July 2018
Slight awkwardness over care scheduling and confusion over school term dates meant that I booked up a trip to the old "New London Theatre" (now renamed the "Gillian Lynne Theatre") in Drury Lane to see School of Rock last Saturday. Jenny's birthday is actually 2 weeks away.
It a stage musical based upon the movie of the same name which starred Jack Black in the lead role, "Dewey Finn" A "life-wasting" rock star wannabee who wangles a replacement teacher job in a very exclusive school, and gets a group of kids together to try and fulfill the dream of winning a "Battle of the Bands" while embracing the Gods of Rock.
"Stick it to The Man"
Jenny, Layla and I had a great day in town, only marred slightly by the closure of most roads that we needed to cross for the Ride London cycling event.
Due to uncharged battery issues, these photos are from Jenny's SX720HS compact.
