RHS Wisley Glow - 1 January 2021
This winter's annual visual feast was a little differently staged. This time members had to pay more than a nominal fee.
There were some mutterings about it being "not as good as previous years" and expensive.
Personally, I feel that with footfall during the COVID-19 situation being, of necessity, at very low levels, the charity needs to raise revenue.
The trail route was changed and there were larger set pieces, particularly around the Glasshouse where "The Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy" played (for the record, my view was that the lights were good to see, but it lacked "Wow").
It was different but still very enjoyable... and it gave us a blow out after Boris Christmas Closedown.
I was glad we made the effort to go.
These photos are from my Canon Powershot SX720 compact and my excuse for the quality of the photos is that it was the first time out with it.
