Reigate Hill, 3 January 2022
We needed a blow - the weather had turned wet and windy.
The Junction 8 Reigate Hill Car Park was too busy, and space was very limited at the Margery Lane National Trust Car Park but we managed it.
Short walk past the M25, the Squirrels and Elves Tree Foot House and we were on the very muddy track along the North Downs top.
We had a nice stroll to Reigate Hill, and fortified by Caramel Lattes and Hot Chocolate (cream and marshmallows), we had a good time popping in to see the Fort.
I couldn't help but think that the 20 mile distant London City skyline looked a little like the Wizard's Palace in The Wizard of Oz
