Claremont Landscape Garden, 2 June 2022
The first of two public holidays to mark Queen Elizabeth's 70 Years reign.
We decided to avoid London which we felt would be pretty much swamped, and stayed relatively local and took a Cream Tea Picnic to Claremont Landscape Garden near Esher.
In truth we did find it a little lack-lustre, being designed by 'Capability' Brown which made it interesting, but at the same time leaving us underwhelmed.
We did enjoy a lovely Cream Tea picnic by the lake (sorry, can't find the photos),to celebrate the Jubilee with Jenny's Mum Wendy, and had a nice short stroll in the grounds
